ABOUT

I guess I found out in Grade 1 what I was supposed to be doing with my life.
Having always loved animals and when there was an art contest in school,
I did a painting titled “Down At The Farm.” It won first prize. Even though I always drew, it didn’t really click until I was in my early 20’s. A graduate of a graphic design program, I was a junior at a design firm living on a small budget. Meanwhile my apartment desperately needed some decorating. I decided to attempt a pen and ink drawing of two puffins. Afterwards, people who came by to visit, were requesting drawings and paintings for themselves and it grew from there. The urge to create and share the beauty of nature and especially animals, cannot be ignored. I don’t think a day goes by without observing and drawing the amazing world outside my front door.
And now, after many years as a graphic designer, illustrator and cartoonist,
I am a full-time pet portrait artist and freelance illustrator/designer in Sudbury Ontario. Some of my ongoing design and illustration clients include Science North, Health Sciences North, Canadian Wildlife Federation,
City of Greater Sudbury, Forest Communications, Okanagan Science Centre, Assiniboine Park Zoo, Environment Canada and Scholastic Canada.
