Your Portrait

I work from photos provided by you. Pictures are best taken at pet level rather than from above, unless that's the view you prefer. An angled pose looks best. The detail in the portrait depends of the quality of your photos.

Mail or e-mail as many photos as possible. JPEGs or PDFs are fine. Please indicate which pose shows the personality and which shows the correct colouring. Pictures taken in natural light outdoors are best. If your pet loves to catch balls, has a favourite toy or sleeps on the back of the sofa, send photos. Include toys and blankets!

If you want a portrait of more than one pet, send photos of all of them. Even if they are not in the same photo they will appear together in your final portrait. All photos will be returned seperately from shipping of the final portrait.

Sizes and Media

I offer two sizes for portraits, 12" x 16" and 8" x 10". If you have special size requests, we can discuss your preference and I will give you a quote.The different media I work in are acrylic (paint), colour pencil (Prisma) and black pencil or a combination of all three. Prices are the same. You can make a choice of medium by checking out the galleries and by contacting me. The acrylic portraits are painted on canvas board or edged canvas. The pencil portraits are drawn on acid-free matte board and the images will last for many years.
